Anyone with important information about a crime in Newark can call 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477) to provide information anonymously. The Newark Police Department has a special Crime Stoppers Unit to operate the hotline and track down felons identified through it. Callers are not asked their name but instead  receive a code number to be eligible to collect a reward of up to $2,000 anonymously.

2.Report your information to a Crime Stoppers Unit Officer

3.Receive a 4 digit pin number.

4.Call back a month later and if your information led to an arrest, you receive another 4 digit pin number.

5.Take your two sets of pins numbers to one of our designated banks and walk out with up to $2,000 cash. No questions asked!

Crime Stoppers is one of the best examples of a successful public-private partnership. With the public's help, it can solve crimes including some of the city's most violent and high-profile cases. The Newark Police Foundation's role is to fund and distribute the rewards, coordinate efforts to raise public awareness of Crime Stoppers and seek and accept donations to support the program.
